Principal's Message

On behalf of myself and the entire staff of Lake Don Pedro Elementary School, I would like to welcome you and your children to another enriching and exciting school year.

LDPE’s excellent teaching staff and support personnel work everyday to ensure each child succeeds. It is our goal is to support and encourage each child in achieving their optimum potential by affirming their intrinsic curiosity and love of learning. If there is something going on that you feel may impact your child's educational success, please communicate with your child's teacher, myself, or any other staff member. We are all here to support your student in their pursuit of excellence.

As you know, being actively involved in your child's education is essential in developing a strong partnership between home and school. Whether you are working full-time or stay at home, make sure you take time to talk with your child about what they are doing in school.  By having your child read to you, providing a quiet place to do homework everyday, and helping your child stay organized are ways to demonstrate your valuing their educational efforts.

In our vision to provide an “enriching, meaningful learning experiences in a safe and supportive learning environment”, we are supported with our outstanding Lake Don Pedro Parent’s Club. They are an essential component in extending our students opportunities. Many school activities and support programs are a reality due to their enthusiasm and fundraising. Our school is united where everyone shares in the responsibility for the success of every one of our students. We cannot do it alone.

Here's to a strong year of teamwork, community, inclusion, and a commitment to do our best and be our best for Lake Don Pedro’s amazing students.

Sincerely,

Ron Henderson
